Julia Morizawa is an actor with 20+ years experience in film, television, theatre, and web series, including 8+ years experience in voice-over and narrative podcasts. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Equity. Career highlights include the feature film Judas Kiss, TV appearances on Scandal and SEAL Team, the title role in East West Players' production of Masha No Home, series regular roles on the web series Star Trek: Odyssey and Galactic Galaxy, and the lead role in the fiction podcast The Bright Sessions. She is a graduate of The Second City Hollywood and has trained at The BGB Studio, Actors Comedy Studio, and The Sanford Meisner Center. Julia spends her time between Los Angeles and Portland, Oregon and has a home voice-over studio where she can record projects remotely.
Julia is also a writer/producer who has created award-winning independent projects in various genres and mediums. Her most recent project, Dragonfly, is an animated short film about the Tokyo firebombing of March 9-10, 1945, and is currently on the festival circuit. Projects in development include: Something About the Tide, a feature-length coming-of-age dramedy for those of us over 30; Where We Came From, a limited series based on two generations of Julia's family heritage; and Tomorrow, I Promise, a live-action short inspired by the draft resistance at Heart Mountain incareration camp in 1944.
