Julia Morizawa is an actor with 20+ years experience in film, television, theatre, and web series, including 5+ years experience in voice-over and narrative podcasts. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Equity, and is represented by Kings Highway Entertainment. Career highlights include the feature films Judas Kiss and Tied Up; TV appearances on Scandal and SEAL Team; the title role in East West Players' production of Masha No Home; series regular roles on the web series Star Trek: Odyssey and Galactic Galaxy; and the lead role in the fiction podcast The Bright Sessions. She is a graduate of The Second City Hollywood and is currently studying at The BGB Studio in North Hollywood. Julia spends her time between Los Angeles and Portland, Oregon; and can work as a local hire in the San Francisco Bay Area. She also has a home voice-over studio where she can record projects remotely.
Julia is also a writer/producer who has created award-winning independent projects in various mediums and genres including features, shorts, web series, audio fiction, theatre, comedy, drama, sci-fi, improv, animation, and more. Current projects include: Dragonfly, an animated short film about the Tokyo firebombing of March 9-10, 1945 and Pure, a sci-fi/adventure interactive graphic novel currently in post-production. Writing projects in development include: Where We Came From, a limited series inspired by Julia's family heritage and Something About the Tide, a feature coming-of-age dramedy for those of us over 30.
